London Taxi Company – Ansty Park

Two Granite Water Features

Outside the main entrance and another inside the reception area of the London Taxi Company’s new Ansty Park Development, Coventry.

Ansty Park is the new location for the London Taxi Company’s research, development and assembly site. This important milestone came soon after the company’s £250 million investment project was announced in the presence of the former Prime Minister –  David Cameron and Boris Johnson in his capacity of Mayor of London

The new facility is the first greenfield development of any Chinese automotive manufacturer in the UK, demonstrating parent company Geely’s ongoing commitment to the country and West Midlands region. The investment will create up to 1000 direct jobs, and support a further 500 roles in the local supply chain.

The 37,000 sq m building is being constructed by main contractors Winvic, and comprises a 31,000 sq m production facility, which will make the next generation of the iconic London Black Cabs from 2017 and other forthcoming models, as well as 6000 sq m office space. Ansty will be Geely’s UK base for ultra-low emission vehicle R&D and the London Taxi Company’s global headquarters.

Both water features are finished with “Star Galaxy” Granite cladding and feature variable height bubble jet fountains and programmable colour changing LED’s – supplied by PLM Illumination

All controlled by an easy to use remote control panel with variable menu’s as required – linked by ethernet to our offices for re-programming as required.
